Thanksgiving Prayer - A Prayer after a Day of Fasting

We recited the following prayer at the end of each fasting day, just minutes before meal time. Please note that this is not a prayer before meal.

Heavenly Father, Merciful and Compassionate God;

All praise be to You O God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

For You chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love You predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.

And now we live with a wonderful expectation because Jesus Christ rose again from the dead. For You God have reserved a priceless inheritance for your children.

Father God, we thank you for helping us overcome the difficulties and temptations we've had throughout the day. We thank you for all the blessings we have received from you this day.

Now, we implore You O Father - show us your ways, that we may live according to your truth!

Grant us purity of heart so that we may honor you; and with your mercy, may You give us light to see what sins we have committed and grant us the grace to be truly sorry for them.

(Reflection on sins you may remember for the day.) and then acknowledge your faults by saying:

I confess to almighty God and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have greatly sinned in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done, and in what I have failed to do; through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault;

therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all the Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God. Amen.

=) rep. 3 times "O Mary, conceived without..."=(
"O Mary, conceived without sin pray for us who have recourse to thee."

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who have most need of your mercy. Amen.
